  1. 01

    Choose your device

  2. 02

    Follow the installation steps

Download an IPTV app from your app store, enter your Canadas IPTV credentials and choose a channel. The app is a separate product from another maker; check in the app store whether there is a paid version or extras. Count on about ten minutes per device.

After logging in, you will see your channel list and the on-demand library.

Stable internet connection

Minimum 10 Mbit/s for Full HD streams, 25 Mbit/s for 4K.

Compatible device

A Smart TV, streaming stick, phone, tablet or set-top box from after 2016. You don’t need extra hardware if you already have a modern device at home.

No technical knowledge required

Our installation guides are written for everyone — no command line, no network configuration, no sideloading unless absolutely necessary (Firestick excluded).

Streaming box or built-in app?

A streaming box, a stick or the device you already own

A frequently asked question before installation: do you need separate hardware? The short answer is no — but a separate streaming box can be useful. That’s how it is.

Do you need an IPTV box or streaming box?

No, you do not need a special IPTV box or IPTV streaming box for Canadas IPTV. You install IPTV directly on devices that you probably already have at home: a Smart TV from Samsung or LG (from 2016), an Amazon Firestick, your Android phone, iPhone or tablet. You install one IPTV app, log in with your credentials and watch — without purchasing additional hardware.

When an IPTV box or streaming box is useful

A separate IPTV box is especially useful if your television is not a Smart TV, or if you prefer to use a separate player rather than the built-in TV software. For example, you can choose from an Amazon Firestick, an Android TV box such as the Nvidia Shield or Xiaomi Mi Box, or a Formuler Z11. You can connect the subscription to all these boxes via the app or the portal, just like on a Smart TV. Prices of streaming box vary, so check the current price at the store. See the Firestick Guide and the Android TV guide below, or read the buying guide which IPTV box suits you.

Watch IPTV without a box

If you want to watch IPTV without a box, that is fine. On a Samsung or LG Smart TV you use a player from the built-in app store (for example Smart IPTV or SS IPTV), on your phone or tablet a player from the App Store or Play Store. There’s no extra device involved — your existing screen and internet connection are enough. Are you unsure whether your TV is suitable? Start with one free 24 hour trial period and try it out before purchasing a subscription.

Per device

Installation steps per device

Below you will find the complete installation for each device. All guides assume you have your Canadas IPTV confirmation email handy — it will contain your M3U URL, Xtream Codes details, or Portal URL.

Samsung & LG Smart TV

On Samsung Tizen TVs (from model year 2017) and LG webOS TVs (from model year 2016), you can install an IPTV player from the built-in app store and link your Canadas IPTV data to it — no sideloading required.

  1. 1

Open the Samsung Smart Hub or LG Content Store from your TV’s home screen.

  2. 2

Search for "Smart IPTV" (Samsung) or "SS IPTV" (LG) and install the app.

  3. 3

Open the app, select "External Playlist" and type the short URL that appears on the screen into your browser to connect your Canadas IPTV M3U link.

  4. 4

Paste your M3U URL from Canadas IPTV confirmation email, save and wait 10-30 seconds for the channel list to load.

  5. 5

Restart the app on your TV — your channels, EPG and categories are ready.

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

Amazon Firestick

On your Amazon Fire TV Stick, first search the Amazon Appstore for a player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U. If it is there, install it there and continue with step 4. If the player you want is not listed, install it via the AFTVnews Downloader app (steps 1 to 3).

  1. 1

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and put "Apps from unknown sources" to On.

  2. 2

Install the Downloaderapp (orange icon, from AFTVnews) via the Amazon Appstore.

  3. 3

Open Downloader, enter the download link provided by the player creator (eg IPTV Smarters Pro) on its own website, and confirm the installation of the APK file.

  4. 4

Start the player and log in via Xtream Codes (in IPTV Smarters Pro: "Login with Xtream Codes API") with your Canadas IPTV username, password and server URL from the confirmation email.

  5. 5

The app automatically loads your channel list — usually within 30 seconds.

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

Android TV box

Android TV (Sony, Philips, TCL, Sharp, Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, Chromecast with Google TV) has an open app ecosystem — everything runs through the Play Store, without sideloading.

  1. 1

Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV box.

  2. 2

Search for "IPTV Smarters Pro" or "TiviMate IPTV Player" and install the app.

  3. 3

Launch the app and choose "Xtream Codes API" as a connection method.

  4. 4

Enter the Xtream server URL, username and password from your Canadas IPTV confirmation email.

  1. 1

Connect your Formuler via HDMI and check Settings → Network (wired via LAN gives the best results).

  2. 2

Open MyTVOnline2 from the main menu.

  3. 3

Choose "Add portal" and select M3U playlist or XtreamCodes.

  4. 4

  5. 5

Confirm — MyTVOnline2 loads your channels, sports bouquets and on-demand library automatically.

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

iPhone and iPad

iOS does not allow APK installation, so you use a suitable player from the official App Store. Works on iOS 15 and higher.

  1. 1

Open the App Store and download GSE Smart IPTV or Flex IPTV.

  2. 2

Launch the app and tap the menu icon at the top left.

  3. 3

Choose "Add M3U link" or "Add Xtream Codes".

  4. 4

Paste your Canadas IPTV M3U URL or enter the Xtream details from the confirmation email.

  5. 5

Wait 5-30 seconds — your channels are sorted by category (sports, news, NL, international).

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

Android smartphone or tablet

Works on Android 5.0 and above — phones, tablets and generic Android TV boxes (TX3 Mini, X96, H96). For smartphones we recommend IPTV Smarters Pro.

  1. 1

Open the Google Play Store and install IPTV Smarters Pro (free download).

  2. 2

Launch the app and choose "Login with Xtream Codes API".

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

MAG box (MAG254 / 322 / 420)

MAG boxes do not work with M3U or Xtream Codes — you configure Canadas IPTV via the Stalker portal, linked to your box’s MAC address.

  1. 1

Find your MAC address via Menu → System Settings → Network and pass this on to support by email.

  2. 2

Wait until you receive a confirmation email with your Portal URL — Canadas IPTV will link it to your MAC.

  3. 3

On your MAG box, go to System Settings → Servers → Portals.

  4. 4

Refill Portal 1 URL enter your Canadas IPTV Portal URL and save.

  5. 5

Restart the MAG box — upon restart, the Stalker portal will automatically load your channels.

Are you stuck? Send a message via the contact page — support is available.

AppleTV

This guide uses AirPlay screen sync from your iPhone or iPad — works on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. If you prefer an app on the Apple TV itself, search the App Store of your Apple TV for a player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U.

  1. 1

Install GSE Smart IPTV or Flex IPTV on your iPhone or iPad — see the iPhone section above for full steps.

  2. 2

Make sure your iPhone/iPad and Apple TV are on the same WiFi network.

  3. 3

Open the IPTV app on your iPhone and start a channel.

  4. 4

Open Control Center (swipe down from the top right) and tap "Screen Sync".

  5. 5

Select your Apple TV — the image will appear immediately on your television.

Troubleshooting

Common problems with IPTV installation

Four problems that often occur during installation, with what you can check first.

The app does not load or crashes

Close the app completely (force-stop) and restart your device. Make sure your firmware is up to date — especially on Smart TVs and streaming sticks, outdated firmware causes compatibility issues. If the app still doesn’t work, try an alternative IPTV player: IPTV Smarters Pro, GSE Smart IPTV and Flex IPTV are all compatible with your Canadas IPTV subscription.

I don’t see any channels after logging in

This usually means that your login details are incorrect or that your account has not yet been activated. Open the confirmation email you received after payment and copy your username and password verbatim — including capital letters. If the activation email is missing, check your spam folder or send a message via email contact page.

The stream is buffering or stuttering

Start with your own connection, because you can control it yourself. Test your internet speed via fast.com, preferably on the device you are watching on. If your WiFi signal is weak, move the router closer or use an Ethernet cable. In the guide Solve IPTV buffering you will find ten steps to tackle buffering. If it continues to fail, please contact support.

I can’t find the app in the app store

Not every official app store has IPTV players available in advance. For Firestick, use Downloader (from AFTVnews) to sideload IPTV Smarters Pro — see the Firestick section above for the step-by-step walkthrough. For Samsung and LG Smart TVs, search for "Smart IPTV" or "SS IPTV" in the built-in app store.

Have another question? Contact our English-language support team and include the details of your device and setup.

Send a question
How long does the IPTV installation take?

Do I need technical knowledge to install IPTV?
No. Our installation guides are written for viewers without a technical background. Each step contains a clear explanation in English. If you get stuck somewhere, ask for help by email at [email protected].
Which IPTV app suits my device?
That depends on your device. For Firestick, Android TV and Android phones we recommend IPTV Smarters Pro on. On a Samsung or LG TV you use Smart IPTV or SS IPTV, on iOS Flex IPTV or GSE Smart IPTV, and on a MAG box the built-in Stalker portal. These apps are individual products from other makers. You can see all options in the overview IPTV apps per device.
Should I cancel my existing cable or fiber TV subscription?
No. Canadas IPTV works alongside your existing television subscription — you can use both at the same time. This way you can first do the free trial period and then decide whether you want to keep your current subscription.

Yes. Our English-language support will help you by email at [email protected] with every installation step. Include the step you are working on so we can help.
Do I need an IPTV box?
No. You don’t need a separate IPTV box for Canadas IPTV. A Smart TV from Samsung or LG (from 2016), an Amazon Firestick, your Android phone, iPhone or tablet work with an IPTV app from the app store. A separate box is only useful if your television is not a Smart TV, or if you prefer to use a separate player rather than the built-in TV software.
Which IPTV box or streaming box suits me?
That depends on your TV and what you want. An Amazon Firestick is an easy entry point. Other options include an Android TV box (such as Nvidia Shield or Xiaomi Mi Box) or a Formuler Z11; compare the specifications in the buying guide Choose IPTV box. You can connect the subscription to all these boxes via the app or the portal, just like on a Smart TV. Prices of streaming box vary, so check the current price at the store.
Can I watch IPTV without a box?
Yes. On a Samsung or LG Smart TV you use a player from the built-in app store (Smart IPTV or SS IPTV), and on your phone or tablet a player from the App Store or Play Store. A PRACTICAL CHECKLIST

Check these points before you start

Make a note of the full server URL and copy the username and password exactly from your confirmation. Omit spaces before or after the data. Never share your password or full playlist link in a public post or forum.

Install the player from the official app store or developer’s website. Check there whether your device is supported and whether the app requires your own payment. If you can’t find an app, choose a supported player instead of a random download.

After logging in, test one channel first. Then check sound, subtitles and the TV guide. If something does not work, make a note of the error message and your device type before contacting us. The first load may take longer than subsequent starts.
